Catnip is an herb that elicits a pleasurable feeling in approximately 70% of cats. Cats under 6 months typically don't react to catnip and some cats don't inherit the gene that makes them sensitive to it.

Cats commonly react to catnip by sniffing, licking, eating, rolling, and rubbing their cheeks on it. Some might stretch, drool, jump, and act hyperactive while others become mellow.

But no need to worry! Catnip isn't addictive and cats can't overdose on it. So let the good times roll! 😽👌
